Berry Green Tea Smoothe
Tea makes a wonderful ingredient to use in smoothies
We think that green teas work particularly well as a base to many different flavour combinations and worth experimenting with to see which you love!
Not only are smoothies delicious & nutritious, they are also super easy to prepare, go on, why not have a go yourself?
To make this smoothie you will need:
1 tablespoon of your choice of green tea
1/4 cup of frozen strawberries
1/4 cup of frozen blackberries
1/2 cup of frozen mango
1 cup of spinach
1 tablespoon of chia seeds
Pour a little cold water over the green tea leaves, just enough to cover them (this will prevent a bitter flavour from the green tea). Now brew the green tea in boiling hot water, for about 4 mins, allow to cool for half an hour, then pour into a blender. Add in the rest of the ingredients and blend until you get a smooth mixture.
